Clear by design

Privacy, app by app.

Our apps do not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Some features use Apple services or carefully selected service providers; the details below explain what is used and why.

Our commitment

Let’s Build HQ and its apps are developed by Brian Leary. We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or track people across other companies’ apps and websites. Data is used only to provide the feature you choose to use, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations.

This policy describes the current implementations we reviewed. Apple, GitHub, Supabase, Open Food Facts and FatSecret process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

This website

This is a content-led public website hosted from GitHub. We have not added accounts, forms, cookies, advertising, analytics or behavioural tracking. If you follow an App Store link, Apple handles that visit. If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include.

As with most web hosting, GitHub and its infrastructure providers may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser details and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. We do not use those logs to create visitor profiles.

Let’s Build Sentences

The app does not require an account and has no custom advertising or analytics service.

  • On-device and iCloud data: learning settings, selected packs, progress and custom sentences are stored on the device and can sync through your Apple iCloud account when available.
  • Parent Voice recordings: microphone access is requested only after a parent starts a recording. The limited-duration audio is used for prompts and encouragement, can be played or deleted in the app, and may sync only through the parent’s private Apple iCloud container.
  • System narration and Personal Voice: voices supplied by iOS can read learning content. A parent can optionally choose an Apple Personal Voice already created in iOS Settings on supported devices. Voice availability and access are controlled by iOS; the app does not upload the voice.
  • Sounds and handwriting: letter taps, tracing and handwriting feedback are processed within the app.
  • Purchases: the optional one-time premium unlock is processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive payment-card details.

Let’s Build Countdowns

The app works without an account. Moments are stored locally first.

  • iCloud: Countdowns Plus can use Apple’s private CloudKit database for sync, shared Moments, memory notes and photos. Apple controls the iCloud account and infrastructure.
  • Sharing and widgets: content is sent only when you use Apple’s Share Sheet or an app link. Widgets display data supplied by the app on your device.
  • Purchases: the one-time Countdowns Plus unlock is processed by Apple. There is no subscription and we do not receive payment-card details.

Let’s Build My World

My World does not require a developer account or login. Travel records and profiles are stored locally on the device.

  • Travel records: places, visits, dates, notes, companions, routes, profiles and locally generated stories remain in the app’s private storage.
  • Photographs: photos are added only when you choose them. Optional Photo Discovery examines photo dates and locations on-device, groups possible journeys for review, and adds nothing until you approve it.
  • Current location: location permission is optional and used only when you choose the current-location button to suggest the current country.
  • Exports and sharing: backups, travel exports, PDFs, videos and comparison files leave the app only when you choose to create or share them through Apple’s interfaces.
  • Purchases: My World+ monthly, annual and lifetime options are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive payment-card details.
  • No tracking: the app has no advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics SDK.

Let’s Build Family Trips

Family Trips needs an account and online service so invited family members can see the same trip. Its dedicated privacy policy contains the full details.

  • Authentication: Sign in with Apple provides a secure account identifier and, when shared, profile information. We never receive your Apple password.
  • Storage and sync: Supabase hosts account and trip data, messages, costs, itineraries, photos and documents in its EU region. Access controls restrict shared content to authenticated members of the relevant family space.
  • Notifications: Apple Push Notification service processes a device token when notifications are enabled.
  • Family sharing: information added to a shared family space is visible to its invited members. Removing an account does not automatically remove content that other family members still need in their shared space; the dedicated policies explain deletion and retention.
  • No purchases: Family Trips currently has no subscription, paywall or in-app purchase.

Let’s Build Travel Plans

The current Travel Plans V2 product is local-first and does not use the Family Trips account or Supabase backend. Its dedicated privacy policy explains the current TestFlight implementation.

  • Local data: the free trip and its planning information are stored in the app’s private Application Support area.
  • Plus iCloud features: TestFlight build 37 uses Apple CloudKit and CKShare for sync, family trip sharing, chat and document-vault assets.
  • Documents: files, photos and scans are added only when you choose them. Apple Vision and PDFKit recognise text on the device.
  • On-device assistance: supported iOS 26 devices use Apple Foundation Models locally for note import and grounded trip checks.
  • Purchases: monthly or annual Plus is processed by Apple StoreKit and is an individual entitlement, not a family-wide Supabase subscription.

Paw Care

Paw Care does not require an account. Its dedicated privacy policy explains the current local-only implementation.

  • Local care log: the dog profile, optional photo, family names, reminders, activity history and walk routes are stored in the app’s private local storage.
  • Location: when you explicitly start a walk and grant access, iOS location services supply points used to calculate and save that walk’s route and distance. Tracking stops when the walk ends or is cancelled.
  • No app cloud service: Paw Care has no account, advertising, analytics or app-operated backend and does not currently sync or upload care data.

Let’s Build Better Coffee

Better Coffee does not require an account. Shot logs, beans, profiles, recipes and preferences are stored locally on the device.

  • Camera and text recognition: camera access is used only when you choose to scan a barcode or coffee label. Apple Vision can recognise label text on the device.
  • Product lookup: a scanned barcode may be sent to Open Food Facts. Searches can also contact a selected roaster catalogue or a compatible Shopify or WooCommerce site you add.
  • Files backup: CSV exports and complete library backups are created only when you request them. You choose the Files location, including iCloud Drive when available.
  • No cloud account: the current app has no account, developer-operated sync or analytics service.

Let’s Build Better Pictures

Better Pictures does not require an account and has no app-operated cloud, advertising, tracking or analytics service. Its dedicated privacy policy explains the current implementation in full.

  • Photos and metadata: an image is decoded in memory only after you choose it from Apple’s Photos or Files picker. EXIF/TIFF reading and rendered-image analysis use Apple frameworks on the iPhone. The original is not uploaded, added to a Better Pictures library or retained after you leave the result.
  • Saved summaries: up to 20 small text summaries can be stored in the app’s private local preferences. They may contain camera settings and one suggested action, but never the original, a thumbnail, GPS coordinates or camera serial number.
  • Your controls: saved summaries can be cleared from the Camera tab. Deleting the app removes local data, subject to device backups you control.
  • Apple services: Photos and Files access begins only when you choose those actions. Apple processes the optional one-time Pro purchase and eligible Family Sharing entitlement. TestFlight or App Store diagnostics may be handled by Apple under your device and Apple privacy settings.

Your choices and controls

You can manage microphone, camera, location, notifications and iCloud permissions in iOS Settings. You can delete locally stored information using the relevant in-app controls or by deleting the app. Family Trips provides account deletion and export controls; Travel Plans provides trip archive, export and “Delete forever” controls.

Children and families

Our family and learning apps avoid behavioural advertising and cross-app tracking. Parents and guardians should supervise the information children create or share, especially in shared family spaces and voice recordings.
