Who operates the app
Let’s Build Family Trips is developed and operated by Brian Leary, referred to here as “we”, “us” or “our”. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@letsbuildhq.com.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Information the app uses
- Account and profile: a secure Sign in with Apple identifier and any name you choose to share.
- Family and trip content: family membership, trips, itineraries, costs, to-do items, messages, photos and documents you add.
- Notifications: an Apple Push Notification service device token when notifications are enabled.
- Technical records: limited security and service information needed to operate and protect the online service.
If you choose Apple’s private email relay, we use the relay address Apple provides rather than your underlying Apple ID email. We never receive your Apple password.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, create and protect the family space, synchronise trip content for invited members, deliver notifications you allow, provide export and deletion tools, and maintain service security. Family Trips currently has no subscription, advertising or in-app purchase.
Storage and service providers
- Apple: Sign in with Apple authenticates accounts and APNs delivers notifications.
- Supabase: account and trip data is stored in an EU-region database and private object storage. Supabase also provides real-time synchronisation and server-side functions.
Database and storage access controls are designed to limit shared content to authenticated members of the family space it belongs to. Information is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS connections.
Sharing within a family space
Family Trips is collaborative. Content you add to a family space is visible to its invited members. Do not add information you do not want those members to see. A person with a valid invite code can request to join, so share codes carefully.
Retention, export and deletion
You can export your data and delete your account from the You area of the app. Account deletion removes your profile and notification tokens and signs you out. Shared trips, messages, files or other family content may remain so they are not removed from other members without warning. Contact us if shared content also needs to be reviewed for deletion.
We retain information while the account or shared family space is active and as reasonably needed for security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Backups may take a limited period to expire.
Children and family use
The account holder must be old enough to use Sign in with Apple under the rules that apply in their region. Parents and guardians should supervise what children add to a shared family space.
Your choices and rights
You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, correct information in the app, export your data, leave a family space, or request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, port or erase personal data. Email support@letsbuildhq.com to exercise a right or raise a concern.
