Information stored by the app
Your dog profile, optional photo, family-member names, reminder preferences, care activity history, active walk and completed GPS routes are stored in the app’s private Application Support directory on your iPhone. A last-known-good local backup and an active-walk journal help recover from an interrupted or damaged save.
Paw Care itself does not transmit or sync this content. Apple may include app data in an encrypted device backup according to the iCloud Backup or computer-backup settings you control.
Location
Paw Care requests When In Use location access only for walk recording. Location updates begin after you confirm Start Walk and grant permission. Accepted points are used to calculate distance and draw the route saved with that walk. Updates stop when you finish or cancel the walk, and background location access is disabled.
You can deny or change location permission in iOS Settings. The rest of the care log remains usable without a GPS route.
Notifications
If you choose to enable reminders, Paw Care asks iOS to schedule local notifications for care tasks. No push-notification token or reminder content is sent to a Paw Care server.
Accounts, tracking and third parties
Paw Care has no account, advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics SDK or third-party backend. We do not sell personal information or receive your care-log content.
Your controls
You can edit or delete individual care entries in the app, manage location and notification access in iOS Settings, and remove the local care log by deleting Paw Care. Before deleting the app, keep any information you still need; the current build has no Paw Care cloud account from which it can be restored.
